How Can I Get Your Attention?

Well it's been an interesting week.  I'm heartened by the fact that, finally, at least on site 1, a couple of people have read my profile and contacted me via facebook - more about that later.

Apparently I may not be in the best frame of mind at present to be partaking in this little venture - my instinctive sarcasm in response to any communication I receive may well be driving off any potential soulmates (god forbid).  Personally, based on communications thus far, I'd say I'm in exactly the right frame of mind for this, in fact it seems the safest way to proceed if you ask me, whilst also ensuring my health, wealth, dignity and sanity (what little remains of each).

Not much activity this week, although I do now have 45 messages I can't read.

Somebody did at least read my profile - I received a message on facebook - 'can I add u and chat with u?' - so I take a peek at his profile.  Lives in Cairo and has 38 friends, all women.  Now it may just be me being cynical but I suspect this chap is looking to expand his 'stable'.  Needless to say I didn't respond. 

I've been 'yes'd' by an 18 year old boy, very nice male model-ish picture but all I wanted to do was tell him to pull his pants up - there's nothing attractive about seeing half your boxers, well at least not to anyone over the age of 16.

I thought I actually had a 'live' one at one point.  I got a message titled 'Howdy!' and, in an a fit of optimism (and without checking his profile - lesson learnt!), thought it might just be from someone who'd read my profile and was responding in a quite clever way to the references to line dancing, country music etc.  The actual message was 'how can I get your attention?'.  I responded that if the message was in response to my profile and genuine then you already have it, if the message is your standard issue greeting to several 'prospects' at once then there's nothing you can do to get it!  On checking his profile (after responding - d'oh!) the line 'hey, wanna try you!' indicated that it was highly unlikely that this chap was looking for anything other than a quick, cheap thrill and I'm neither (quick or cheap I mean, I am occassionally capable of being thrilling)

I received a message asking if I had any unusual quirks or  habits.  This tickled me so I replied - hahaha,are you kidding, have you seen my profile?!  Yeah, loads, my friends sometimes refer to me as being a little off the beaten track (which I'm sure is just their affectionate way of saying 'odd'!) and asked the same question back - no response! 

My first experience with instant chat on this site....................

 And I think we hit an all time low with the next one (well, for this week anyway)

I'm slighty confused by the next one................
